Keily Linger
The Outstanding Student Scholarship was awarded to WAJ graduate Keily Linger, a student who excels in academics, sports, and community service. Keily was a National Honor Society member since ninth grade and the 14th student to receive the $12,000 grant. Devoted to helping others, Keily was always the first to volunteer where needed. She participated in the after-school tutoring program, Autumn Affair, Chili Fest, and Hurricane Irene Clean Up. She was a finalist in the “We the People” competition as part of her New Visions class. Throughout high school, Keily was a star athlete in soccer, cross country and basketball. The Windham Foundation wishes Keily the best of luck as she starts the next chapter of her life at SUNY Albany where she will study public policy.
Victoria Woronewych
The Windham Foundation Trade and Technical Scholarship was awarded to Victoria Woronewych, a 2015 graduate of WAJ. This Windham Foundation award is reserved for a student of high character and achievement pursuing a technical degree. Victoria’s motivation and determination was exhibited when she joined the visual communications program at BOCES. Victoria took the lead on many school projects, including designing menus for local restaurants, was president of her class and a WAJ Cheerleader. Victoria will attend SUNY Cobleskill in the fall where she will continue her passion for graphic design and earn a teaching degree. The Windham Foundation is proud to see Victoria flourish and wish her the best of luck. The $2,000 grant will be awarded over two years.
